Tom Lamb
Tom Lamb has been making art at First Street Gallery since 2006 and also maintains a home studio where he works nights and weekends. Tom’s work usually involves acrylic paint on paper or canvas but he also works with ceramics and mixed media collage. His paintings employ a bold expressionistic style to depict familiar scenes from his life and community, often recreating detailed scenes from memory. Whether recreating landscapes, muscle cars, or complex architectural scenes, Tom addresses all his subjects with a great deal of emotional reverence.
Tom was honored with a solo show at First Street Gallery during the 2009 Holiday Show and received an Award of Excellence from VSA Arts for his contribution to the exhibition “Accelerate” which was on view at the Smithsonian Institute and Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.
