1:1 Instructor-SBMAC- Ability to support individuals with behavior challenges.

Program Aide-Responsible for assisting clients with toileting needs (showering, transfers and other personal care needs as they are identified).

Lifeguard/Recreation Instructor-Must possess a current lifeguard certification; AED, First Aid and CPR card and has the ability to maintain the pool and client’s safety at all times (prepared to perform water rescue for any swimmer).

Maintenance Facilitator-Experience in Maintenance. Knowledge of safe handling of a variety of power equipment. Knowledge of basic auto mechanics, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Ability to read, write and speak English. Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to read measuring tapes, pressure valves, etc. Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

The following positions are available with CIP  Van Nuys:

Job Trainer- Excellent communication skills, mature judgment, a strong work ethic, and who genuinely enjoy helping others. Previous work experience in the field of social services is a plus.

 Master Job Trainer-Must have the ability to endure multiple levels of activity, from being office based (seated for most of the work day) to working at a car wash (on feet, washing cars in all weather conditions) for up to 4 hours.  Must be comfortable with public speaking and must be able to quickly change tasks at a moment’s notice.

The following position is available with NEXUS San Fernando Valley: Community Service Coach – Minimum of 2 years of College/excellent customer service skills. Experience providing training/instruction to adults with developmental disabilities is a plus.
