The Tourney raised $55,701 to support music therapy, aquatics instruction and volunteerism programs at Tierra.

“It was a beautiful day”, to quote legend Vin Scully, nationally beloved sportscaster of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who kicked off the 2011 “Tee Off for Tierra” charity tourney. Vin joined supporters of Tierra del Sol Foundation in a sold-out tournament of 147 golfers. In the evening, Tierra welcomed back sportscaster Steve Hartman as MC of the Awards program. After tournament play, Steve held a sports roundtable panel that included the Los Angeles Times’ Bill Plaschke, the Daily News’ Vincent Bonsignore, ABC-ESPN College Football commentator and former UCLA QB David Norrie, and former UCLA Basketball Coach Jim Harrick.
